Avnet has created a comprehensive government market training program modeled after our successful HealthPath™ University.
Following on the success of HealthPath™ University, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas has created a comprehensive government market training program — GovPath™ University. The program is designed to provide partners with the understanding, knowledge, market technology drivers and tools needed to successfully pursue opportunities in the lucrative U.S. Government market.
“We’ve taken a unique approach to help our partners attack, compete in and navigate the public sector,” said Mike AtLee, national director, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, Government and Education Solutions group. “With GovPath University, our partners will gain an understanding of the market and learn how they match up with it. Each student will develop an actionable business plan during the course, which they can execute as soon as they walk out the door.”
GovPath University includes tracks on the federal, state and local government and education markets and enables partners to develop government-focused practices that incrementally grow their revenue in this high-spend market. The in-depth program focuses on:
- Discussing market technology drivers, such as opportunities around connectivity, disaster recovery, human capital/IT workforce, security, and virtualization and consolidation
- Building awareness of the inherent challenges and opportunities in the federal, state, local government and education markets
- Navigating the government’s hierarchy of opportunities
- Identifying key market players and contacts in government agencies
- Determining how partners can best position their businesses and market their capabilities within the public sector
- Understanding the nuances involved in government budgets and buying cycles
